Accountants: Host Every Client Portal on a $4.50 Cheap WHM Reseller License (2026)

January compresses a year of client requests into a few weeks, and the invoice that surprises a CPA firm is often the panel. Stacking clients as addon domains fails in a familiar way: the wrong person gets the password reset, and one organizer upload sits in another client’s file manager. The clean fix is one cPanel user per client. The public cPanel Store prices that fix by the account. Admin Cloud is $35.99 a month and stops at five accounts. Pro Cloud is $53.99 and stops at thirty. Premier Cloud is $69.99 for up to one hundred, then $0.49 for each account after that. A cheap WHM reseller license from cPanelSave prices the same VPS at $4.50 a month, with unlimited cPanel accounts, so the January rush does not buy a higher tier.
What a per-account Store seat costs a firm
cPanel publishes Store list prices that run through 15 December 2026. Solo Cloud is $29.99 a month for one account. Admin Cloud is $35.99 for up to five. Pro Cloud is $53.99 for up to thirty. Premier Cloud and Premier Metal are $69.99 for up to one hundred, then $0.49 for each account after that. Solo, Admin, and Pro are cloud-only, so a bare-metal box on the Store is Premier Metal at $69.99.
On 16 December 2026 that list steps up: Solo $32.99, Admin $38.99, Pro $58.99, Premier $76.99, and overage $0.55 past one hundred accounts. Firms that wait for the renewal email pay the new list. The calendar is covered in the 16 December cPanel reseller license switch. This week the decision is to stop metering client portals.
Put a normal firm on those list prices:
- Eight client portals. Admin’s five-account ceiling is already gone, so the Store seat is Pro at $53.99. A VPS cheap WHM reseller license is $4.50. The difference is $49.49 every month, $593.88 across a year, before a single seasonal microsite exists.
- Forty portals plus staff mailboxes. Pro stops at thirty accounts. Premier at $69.99 is the next Store product. Against $4.50 the firm keeps $65.49 a month, $785.88 a year.
- One hundred twenty accounts, counting staff mail and a portal per 1040 client. Premier is $69.99 plus twenty times $0.49, which is $79.79. The VPS license stays $4.50. The firm keeps $75.29 a month, $903.48 a year.
- Five servers — production, mail, staging, failover, and one dedicated file server. Five Premier seats are $349.95 a month. Four VPS licenses at $4.50 plus one dedicated license at $8.00 are $26.00. The firm keeps $323.95 a month, about $3,887 a year, with unlimited accounts on every node.
Those Store figures are manufacturer list prices. cPanelSave is a separate company. We sell reseller-style licenses and support them ourselves. We do not claim a manufacturer endorsement, and this is not a cPanel, Inc. support contract. The panel is still cPanel and WHM. The invoice is what changes.
The VPS product most firms need is $4.50 a month. Bare metal is $8.00. Compare plans from $4.50 and match the product to the hardware before the next Store draft.
One license fee, a portal for every client
You pay for the server. You license WHM once. Each client, each staff role, and each isolated campaign page is a cPanel account on that same license.
On a virtual server the cPanel license catalog lists the VPS product at $4.50 per month. On a dedicated or colocation chassis the dedicated product is $8.00 per month. Both include unlimited cPanel accounts. That is the point of a reseller-style WHM when the firm is done stacking clients as addon domains. If one client’s bulk upload can saturate the disk, add CloudLinux at $4.00 per month so LVE limits keep the neighbors quiet. The cPanel plus CloudLinux pair is $8.50 on a VPS, still well under a single Pro seat at $53.99. Firms that want faster client dashboards can add LiteSpeed from the same plans page.
Real-estate teams already separate each agent in one reseller license for every agent site. Agencies did the same with one cPanel per client. Filing season gives accounting firms a hard date.
Get your $4.50 license with unlimited accounts and activate it from the client area. A cheap WHM reseller license on the VPS is the usual fit. Dedicated hardware takes the $8.00 product. Either way the account count stays unlimited.
What the firm has after checkout
- Unlimited cPanel accounts on WHM. Portals, staff mail, and a January drop site share one license fee. Growth shows up as disk and RAM, which you can plan, instead of a surprise tier.
- Direct updates. WHM keeps the normal update path. The $4.50 rate does not freeze the server on an old build.
- Stable activation on the server IP. The license applies to the address you bought it for. If that address changes later, cPanelSave support helps you retarget it.
- 24/7 support from cPanelSave. Activation and licensing questions come to our team. cPanelSave has sold these licenses since 2017.
- Instant delivery in the client area. Order, pay, apply the license, and create accounts. There is no multi-day partner approval before the first portal.
Questions about VPS versus dedicated, updates, and refunds are answered on the license FAQ before you pay. If a key misbehaves on a Sunday in March, contact cPanelSave support — that ticket comes to us, because the license relationship is with us.
ROI before the first organizer goes out
Use your own client count. The figures use current Store list prices and cPanelSave’s published rates. They illustrate the gap. They are not a hardware quote.
A 15-client bookkeeping practice on one VPS
Fifteen portals do not fit Admin. The Store product is Pro at $53.99. The VPS license is $4.50. Monthly savings are $49.49, or $197.96 from January through April and $593.88 across the year. One bookkeeping client at $75 to $150 a month covers the cheap WHM reseller license several times. The one-client break-even is your first paying client covers the license.
A 60-client CPA firm, plus a staging box
Sixty accounts clear Pro’s cap of thirty, so the Store seat is Premier at $69.99. Savings versus $4.50 are $65.49 a month and $785.88 a year. A staging VPS, so a theme change stays off the live organizers, is another $4.50. Two nodes cost $9.00. Two Premier seats cost $139.98. That flat curve is why moving from 5 to 50 clients stays predictable, and why account tiers punish the next login.
Five nodes, VPS plus one metal box
Four VPS nodes at $4.50 plus one dedicated backup server at $8.00 equal $26.00. On the Store, Solo, Admin, and Pro cannot license metal, so each of those five nodes is Premier. Five times $69.99 is $349.95. The firm keeps $323.95 a month. After 16 December 2026 the same five seats list at $76.99 each, $384.95, while the cPanelSave side stays $26.00.
Start saving today — dedicated licenses are $8.00 a month, and every VPS on that page is $4.50. The full license list includes CloudLinux when the portal box needs isolation. More margin write-ups live on the cPanelSave blog if you want them before you order. They do not change the price.
Put the firm on a cheap WHM reseller license this week
Four steps. Your admin already knows how to install cPanel. You are choosing the invoice for unlimited accounts.
- Match the product to the hardware. A cloud VPS, KVM, or similar virtual machine takes the $4.50 VPS license. A bare-metal or colo box takes the $8.00 dedicated license. The wrong type will not activate. Confirm this before you pay.
- Confirm the IP. The license is issued for the server address you enter. If a datacenter move is already on the calendar, license the address that will be live when clients arrive.
- Order in the client area. Activate now at panel.cpanelsave.com. Checkout is immediate. License details are available when payment clears.
- Apply the license and create the accounts. Run the activation, open WHM, and create one cPanel user per client. If you want the product checked before you pay, ask through contact. Sales are non-refundable, so ask first.
Questions firms ask before they switch
Is a lower license price stable enough for client files?
The license fee does not downgrade the panel. Firms run live WHM on these activations and take the current update stream. Backups and who may download a return stay the firm’s responsibility. We stand behind activation, updates, and licensing support. More is in why a low license price is a stable panel.
Will WHM still receive updates?
Yes. Direct updates are part of the license. The server is not pinned to an old build to keep the $4.50 rate. When a build your server is eligible for is published, WHM updates in the usual way.
Can we get a refund if we pick the wrong product?
No. Licenses bought from cPanelSave are non-refundable. Separate VPS from dedicated before checkout. Read the refund note on the FAQ, confirm the server type, and then order.
Is the $4.50 VPS license or the $8.00 dedicated license the right one?
Buy the VPS license when cPanel runs in a virtual machine. Buy the dedicated license when cPanel runs on bare metal you own or lease. A virtual machine that happens to sit on a dedicated host is still a VPS license. One server takes one license. Unlimited accounts are included on both.
Does unlimited accounts cover every client portal?
Yes. A cheap WHM reseller license does not meter cPanel users. The eighth portal is the same license fee as the eightieth. Disk, memory, and mail volume are server costs. CloudLinux at $4.00 a month isolates a noisy tenant on top of that flat WHM price. The capped Store path, Solo through Premier, is in what a Solo seat actually buys.
Set the January price while October is still quiet
Clients will ask for a login in the first week of January. Admin at $35.99 cannot hold a real client list. Pro at $53.99 stops at thirty accounts. Premier at $69.99 — and $76.99 after 16 December 2026 — bills you for a workflow the firm was going to run anyway. A cheap WHM reseller license keeps that line at $4.50 on a VPS and $8.00 on dedicated hardware, with unlimited accounts on either product.
Move the firm this week. Compare plans and get your license in the client area. Start saving today, while there is still time to create the accounts before the queue of returns shows up.
